Several Tennessee legislative efforts could either protect and enhance fertility treatment and reproductive rights… or put access to care at risk.

HJR 0007, “Personhood at Fertilization Resolution”

  • Purpose: Defines embryos as people.
  • This resolution puts IVF treatment at risk, could severely restrict successful IVF treatment and result in many legal challenges for fertility patients – past and present.

HB 0533, “Fertility Treatment and Contraceptive Protection Act”

  • Purpose: Establishes the right to fertility treatment & services.

SB 0463, “Freedom to Grow Our Tennessee Families Act”

  • Purpose: Requires insurance companies to cover fertility care & preservation services.

HB 0027, “Reproductive Freedom Act”

  • Purpose: Protects the fundamental right of patients to make decisions about their reproductive health care.

HB 0945, “Amends Tennessee Code Annotated Related to Assisted Reproductive Technology ”
