March is Endometriosis Awareness Month, dedicated to bringing awareness to a disorder affecting up to 10 percent of women of reproductive age. TRM’s Dr. Jessica Scotchie was a guest on Good Morning Chattanooga: FOX Edition, where she spoke about the characteristics of endometriosis as well as endometriosis infertility.

“It’s an odd disorder in that the severity of it is not tightly correlated with symptoms,” said Dr. Scotchie. “Half of patients will have no symptoms at all.” This absence of symptoms in many sufferers further underscores the need for awareness and ongoing discussion about this common but treatable condition.
