Local Fertility Specialists Named as Best Doctors in America

Dr. Murray and Dr. Scotchie recognized by other physicians as doctors they would most want treating them or their loved ones for Best Doctors award.

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (September 2015) – Chattanooga fertility specialists Dr. Rink Murray and Dr. Jessica Scotchie have been awarded Best Doctors in America for 2015-16. That ranks Scotchie and Murray, cofounders of Tennessee Reproductive Medicine (TRM), among the top five percent of U.S. doctors.

The Best Doctors in America award is given to physicians who have earned the consensus support of their peers. More than 40,000 physicians polled in this year’s survey were asked, “If you or a loved one needed a doctor in your specialty, to whom would you refer?”

Best Doctors, Inc., which assembles the award, evaluates the survey results and verifies all inclusion criteria. Gallup audits and certifies the results. This is the seventh year that one or both of the TRM physicians has received a Best Doctors in America award.

“Dr. Murray and I are truly honored to receive these awards,” says Dr. Scotchie. “That both of us in our TRM practice were recognized is very gratifying. For fellow physicians to say they would entrust their loved ones with us validates our daily efforts to deliver outstanding medical care and emotional support to couples struggling with infertility.”

Dr. Murray and Dr. Scotchie founded TRM in 2008 to increase access to fertility care for patients in the Chattanooga area. They work tirelessly to treat every patient as a person, not a number, and to deliver highly successful treatments. TRM’s in vitro fertilization (IVF) success rates have consistently exceeded the national average IVF success rates. Both doctors are double board-certified in reproductive endocrinology and OB/GYN.

Best Doctors in America awards are independent and rigorously impartial. Only physicians who rank in the top 5 percent of their specialty receive this recognition. The Best Doctors in America award was started in 1989 by physicians at the Harvard Medical School.
