The Power of Hope

A couple writes their success story

Schaeffer TwinsHow do you say thank you to someone who has helped make one of your biggest dreams come true? Honestly, I do not know. My humble words will not adequately express the amount of gratitude we hold in our hearts for the TRM staff as a whole.

We came to TRM with broken hearts. We’d been on a mission to create a family for three years when we met Dr. Scotchie. We were filled with doubt and we were battered from fighting infertility and suffering a loss. We did not know if we would ever get the family we envisioned. From the moment we met Dr. Scotchie, she gave us something that we had not felt in a long time. Hope. She made us begin to believe that our dream could indeed become a reality. When we doubted it more than ever, she made us start to believe. Her positive attitude and upbeat spirit were contagious.

We clung to that hope throughout the stimulation process, egg retrieval, ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS) and frozen transfer. Hope kept us going through yet another try at creating a family – hope that Dr. Scotchie inspired in us.
There’s “fresh” and “frozen” embryo transfer. What you need to know about the benefits of Frozen Embryo Transfer.

We were lucky enough to become pregnant with twins. I had an uneventful pregnancy and we finally had our dream of becoming a family come true on September 15, 2012. Evan Lee was born at 10:14 p.m., weighing five pounds, 11 ounces, and Ella Rose was born at 10:16 p.m. weighing six pounds, five ounces.

They were healthy. They were beautiful. They were ours. Finally. After four years of struggling, we were a family.

Thank you for the excellent care we received at your clinic. Thank you for the care you gave us emotionally and physically as we endured the IVF process and the complication of OHSS. We appreciated the extra care and support we received from Linda while suffering with OHSS.

We’re thankful for all the encouragement and fine care we received from Shan, Candy and all the rest of the staff at TRM. You all made this daunting process a little easier. We cannot say it enough – Thank You.

May you make many more people’s dreams come true in the future. We will forever be grateful for the family you helped us create.

Endless Thanks,

Collin, Amber, Evan & Ella
